The deadline for this year’s Love Eyewear Awards entries has been extended to Sunday 26 January, and the judges revealed.
Launched in 2020, the Love Eyewear Awards champion and promote eyewear and all things optics from independent and major designers, manufacturers and retailers. The categories include New Designer 2025, Sustainable Frame of the Year, Eyewear Retailer of the Year, and Eyewear Accessory of the Year, as well as Best Use of Social Media – new for 2025.
The judging panel will be made up of Daniel Scott, owner of the Eyewear Stylist and a qualified dispensing optician, Daniel Feldman, editor-in-chief at The Optical Journal, Nicos Antoniades, optician at the Optical Gallery, and Clodagh Norton, director of Eyestylist.
After the shortlisted nominees are announced, the winners will be announced on the first day of the show (1 March) during an evening of celebration and entertainment.
Selin Pera, senior marketing executive, at CloserStill Media, commented: “The Love Eyewear Awards have become a highlight of the show, and we can’t wait to see what new creative and innovative designs are showcased this year. We are particularly delighted to celebrate the industry in a fresh way by welcoming a past Love Eyewear Award-winning optician to the judging panel. Including a valued optician in the judging panel is important to us as they are the ones who play a pivotal role in selecting and introducing these designs into their practices.”
Among the first-time exhibitors at this year’s show are DITA Lancier, Mykita, Clayton Franklin Eyewear, De Rigo and LGR – which will join the regular line-up of ‘household names’ from the optical world. Independent companies, including Etnia Barcelona, Woodys, Danielle Rattray, Modstyle, Bird Eyewear, the Body Doctor and Coti Vision, will have a strong presence once again.
Selin added: “We’re really excited to welcome back returning exhibitors, some of which have been attending 100% Optical for the last decade, as well as new brands making their first appearance. 2025 is all about focusing on the future as we look forward to the next 10 years of innovation, technology, fashion and education in this exciting industry.”
